Free-Standing Nozzles
With a range of nozzles available, it can be difficult to decide which is the right nozzle to select for your LEV system. Free standing nozzles offer a universal solution for businesses where there are a broad variety and regular turnover of different vehicles types in their workshop bays daily, for example, MOT bays. free-standing nozzles can be pushed up to a vehicle’s bumper to collect the exhaust fumes.
How Do Free-Standing Nozzles Work?
Exhaust nozzles collect petrol and diesel exhaust fume gases at the exhaust pipe and transport them through the exhaust extraction system, via 170oC crush-resistant exhaust hose. Exhaust gases flow through the vehicle exhaust extraction system are to be expelled outside of the workplace to leave your business free from engine exhaust contaminants.
Free-standing nozzles can easily have their height adjusted and be tilted back and forth to best capture a specific vehicle’s exhaust fumes.
Technical Specifications
Nozzles can be supplied with back connections of either 100mm, 125mm or 150mm diameter to suit the nozzle or hoses on the system.
The free-standing nozzle is suitable where the attachment of other nozzles is not possible. Manufactured from galvanized steel. Complete with carrying handle and shock protection with rectangular connection for maximum capture.

A Complete LEV System
Free-standing nozzles should be utilised in conjunction with a local exhaust ventilation solution, such as spring recoiled hose reels or motorised hose reels in addition to one of our centrifugal fans to vent the captured vehicle exhaust fumes directly to the atmosphere via a high-velocity cowl, as per HSG258: Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work: A Guide to Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV).
