Metal Nozzles
Auto Extract System’s metal nozzles are ideal for hot engine processes, such as regeneration or heavy-duty machinery. They are manufactured with a rubber impact protector opening, to not cause damage to a vehicle’s bumper, yet to provide a clamp to secure the nozzle to the exhaust tailpipe.
Nozzles can be specified with or without a variable damper to control the airflow and can be specified for a wide variety of hose diameters.
Safety First...
Metal nozzles feature a break-off seal, should a vehicle be driven off without being disconnected from the vehicle exhaust fume extraction system. This safety feature ensures the extraction system, whether a fixed/semi-flexible drop or hose reel system isn't damaged. It works by disconnecting between the metal nozzle and the metal spigot/damper.
How Do Metal Nozzles Work?
Exhaust nozzles collect petrol and diesel exhaust fume gases at the exhaust pipe and transport them through the exhaust extraction system, via 170oC crush-resistant exhaust hose. Exhaust gases flow through the vehicle exhaust extraction system are to be expelled outside of the workplace to leave your business free from engine exhaust contaminants.
Metal nozzles simply push on and over a vehicle's exhaust pipe to capture all exhaust gas at-source. Metal nozzles can be specified with either an internal clip or external clamp, to secure the nozzle to the vehicle.
Metal exhaust fume nozzles can also be specified with or without a variable damper to control the airflow and can be specified for a wide variety of hose diameters. This is particularly useful if there are multiple points within the local exhaust ventilation (LEV) system and particular points need to be closed whilst not in use.

A Complete LEV System
Vehicle exhaust fume metal nozzles should be utilised in conjunction with a local exhaust ventilation solution, such as spring recoiled hose reels or motorised hose reels in addition to one of our centrifugal fans to vent the captured vehicle exhaust fumes directly to the atmosphere via a high-velocity cowl, as per HSG258: Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work: A Guide to Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV).
