Mobile Exhaust Fume Extractors
At Auto Extract Systems, we have two different types of mobile exhaust fume extractors available. Both offer flexibility to the user and offer a mobile exhaust extraction unit that features a free-standing vehicle exhaust fume extractor, which comes complete with a 240v, 0.75kW extraction fan. This provides motor vehicle repair workshops with an economical extraction solution that can be utilised across a wide range of vehicle types.
The portable exhaust extraction system is an ideal exhaust fume extraction system for single bay MOT stations where a comprehensively installed local exhaust ventilation (LEV) system may not be economically or physically practical.
The car exhaust extractors can be specified with either 100mm or 125mm diameter exhaust hose to vent exhaust fumes out of the workplace to the atmosphere. We can help specify which is the best-sized hose for your application.
The second type of mobile petrol and diesel exhaust extraction system removes exhaust gases through the use of a flexible and crush resistant hose.
This second type is ideal for twin (side-by-side) or awkwardly positioned exhausts. These collect exhaust fumes at the vehicle's exhaust and come complete with a 5-metre-long*, 150mm diameter crush-proof exhaust extraction hose. *Longer fume extraction hose lengths are available on request.

How Do Exhaust Fume Extractors Work?
Exhaust fume removal systems utilise the free-standing nozzle to butt up to the vehicle's bumper, next to the exhaust fume extraction pipe. The nozzle collects fumes at the source as they're expelled. A fan draws them down the hose and away from the vehicle, through the vehicle exhaust extraction fan and down the length of the flexible exhaust hose. This should be trailed outside of the motor vehicle workshop where fumes can disperse safety.
