Full Description
Exhaust Hose Reels
Exhaust hose reels are a very diverse product for the motor vehicle repair industry as they can be retrofitted in virtually any garage set up. They provide a convenient vehicle exhaust fume solution when working with stationary vehicles. Exhaust hose reels allow you to provide a clean and trip hazard-free workspace when the local exhaust ventilation (LEV) extraction system isn't being used.
Exhaust hose reels capture carcinogenic diesel fumes at the source and expel them to the atmosphere and dramatically reduce the trip hazard risk of exhaust hose being trailed to vehicle exhausts.
Our exhaust hose reels are manufactured in a combination of lightweight aluminium and steel plates, which makes for an easy installation to ceilings, walls or floors. Exhaust hose reels are ideal for an installation height of between 3 and 4m, however, an extra spring assembly can be installed to the reel if the mounting height is any higher.
How Do Vehicle Exhaust Hose Reels Work?
The exhaust hose is manually pulled downwards to release the spring-loaded ratchet mechanism. When the hose isn’t required, the mechanism can wind the hose back around the drum and be locked at a reachable height for its next use. These are one of our most popular local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems for the safe removal of vehicle exhaust fumes.
Exhaust hose reels can be specified with various kinds of flexible hose, which is wound on to a drum that’s located above, or to the side of the working area, typically in the roof space on the wall.

The Right Vehicle Exhaust Extraction Solution for You
Spring recoiled exhaust hose reels can be interconnected to one another through a singular LEV system to vent vehicle exhaust fumes to the atmosphere. Hose reels should be utilised in conjunction with one of our centrifugal fans to vent the captured exhaust fumes directly to the atmosphere. The cleaned air can then be returned to the atmosphere via a high-velocity cowl, as per HSG258: Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work: A Guide to Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV).
