Food-Grade Extraction Arms
Food extraction arms are ideal for food manufacturing working environments for the safe removal of dust and fumes. Fume extraction arms (food grade) are smart and stylish and have been developed and designed for industries with stringent hygiene requirements, such as the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Food Extraction Arm Features
Kitchen food extraction arms feature externally-mounted, self-supporting structure, so no components are in the air stream. Extraction arms are available in two, three and four-metre lengths and in three choices of diameters, 100mm, 160mm and 200mm.
Food grade fume extraction arms are manufactured in stainless steel and can be specified in PU-ATEX, PU-Food, PU-Food/ATEX, PE, and PE-ATEX rated flexible hose.
All surface finishing is high-gloss polished stainless steel, and the antistatic hose is fitted with quick-connectors, which makes PSS the easiest extractor arm to clean in the industry.
How do Food Extraction Arms Work?
Placement of the arm should be as close to the process as possible, typically at-source before dust and fumes can disperse into to the working environment.
Food-grade extraction arms feature a quick-release hose fitting system and a removable protective grill for the internal bore to be easily cleaned.

Always Choose a Low Pressure Drop
We've tried and tested many different extraction arms on the market and have found these to be the most robust and highest-quality arms available. The hose extraction arms we install come complete with an external exoskeletal support structure. An external support structure allows for there to be:
- Pressure Drop - A low-pressure drop within the system. Less mechanical parts disturb the airflow mean the user will get a better airflow at the capture hood
- Easier to Maintain - Less mechanical seizures mean it's easier to move to the desired capture location, but also easy to clean and maintain. Contaminant capture by the LEV system, such as dust, can easily seize up joints and make it difficult to manoeuvre and service
- Noise - Less noise disruption from the LEV system ventilation will make the workplace less noisy
- Performance - Our extraction arms offer 30% better airflow and 50% static pressure drop than a traditional internal knuckle type arm
