Oil Mist Extraction
Oil mist consists of atomised droplets of oil generated from the high speed machining of metals. The droplets formed are sufficiently small to penetrate the lining of the lungs if inhaled and for this reason filtration is required in all cases.
For Open machine tool processes which are light duty that do not require re-circulation of the air back into the work place mechanical filters with bag filters are recommended.
Flexible extraction arms are used to capture the oil mist at the source.
