Passenger Car Extraction

Typical Passenger Car Application

Capturing fumes 'at source' is the most efficient way of eliminating passenger car exhaust fume problems which are normally found within manufacturing facilities, dealership service bays/workshops, independant garage workshops or MOT testing stations etc.

The exhaust gas temperatures normally experienced during car servicing/running allow standard temperature hoses to be used. Twin exhausts (left & right of car) can be accommodated by the use of a Y-piece connection set.

Exhaust gases from vehicles can either appear as a grey, black smoke, or appear invisible. Humans can observe particles down to about 20 microns. However, 90% of exhaust particles are smaller than 1 micron. In comparison, a strand of human hair is 70 microns thick. Many people wrongly believe that if they don’t see the exhaust, that there is no danger to their health. The new generation of “clean” diesel engines with their invisible emissions produce 15 to 35 times smaller particles than old-generation diesel engines. Therefore, it seems that the dangers have disappeared, but this is far from the truth.
